Educational Accommodations at River Valley Community College
River Valley Community College offers educational accommodations to help support students in meeting their academic goals.

Students with a documented disability can request educational accommodations through our Accessibility Services Office. Students engage through an interactive process with the Accessibility Services Coordinator to implement educational accommodations that meet each student’s unique needs. Temporary accommodations are for students who are experiencing temporary conditions that significantly impact their ability to engage in daily living activities and that impact the student in the educational/classroom setting. This includes, but is not limited to, significant injuries or illness. Please note that temporary accommodations are not guaranteed under federal or state law. Follow this process to request temporary accommodations:
- Complete a Request for Temporary Accommodations. When you submit this form, it will automatically be sent to the Accessibility Services Coordinator.
- Submit documentation from a licensed provider to the Accessibility Services Coordinator that includes:
- Confirmation of the nature of your injury or temporary impairment(s).
- Description of the limitations or impacts this temporary condition may have on your educational/classroom setting.
- Timeline for which these temporary accommodations are needed. If this is unknown, provide information as to when it will be reassessed.
- Meet with the Accessibility Services Coordinator.
Under Title IX, students who are pregnant or student parents during the child’s first six months are entitled to certain protections and accommodations. Our goal is to support students and ensure that they have equal access to their education during this time.
To request an accommodation under Title IX,
- Complete a Request for Temporary Accommodations. When you submit this form, it will automatically be sent to the Accessibility Services Coordinator.

Students whose native language is not English may have access to educational accommodations. Follow this process to request ESOL accommodations:
- Complete the free EF SET assessment and submit your results to Dr. Jennifer Cournoyer (jcournoyer@ccsnh.edu).
